On his first single "Morning Salutations feat. Toshinori Kondo", Toshinori appears courtesy of his sons Sora and Yota Kondo, who had released his father's previously unreleased trumpet stems online for all to use. This is from which MZA has reworked the sounds of the legendary Japanese jazz trumpeter and famed DJ Krush collaborator into a new sonic piece.
Heavily influenced by Buddhist ideas, MZA seeks to recreate his memories of summer holidays spent with his grandmothers who would usually awake early in the morning and play sutras or chime the singing bowl. The result is a deeply contemplative work which sets the tone of the EP with layered sonic textures and traditional instruments.
